Altars in Abandoned Houses

In his newest story collection Altars in Abandoned Houses, John Collins brings you a dozen tales that peel back the lace curtains of suburban life to reveal the horrors hidden to the outside world. No town is too sleepy or hidden to disguise the terror that awaits.

Altars in Abandoned Houses will invite you in with the smell of fresh gingerbread and the sound of children laughing, only to leave you face-to-face with a wraith beckoning to what lies beyond the pantry. As Collins’ opens the door to small-town America, he offers to take your coat—and with it, any sense of security. --Meg Ripley, author of NECROLOGY
